HTC unveils Titan II

HTC Titan II - Windows Mobile with 16MP camera phone

            The new HTC Titan II was announced at CES and will be the world’s very first 4G LTE enabled Windows phone 7 handset. Specs on the HTC Titan II include a  Qualcomm 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S2 processor, a 4.7-inch display, 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.6 wide-angle lens, autofocus, dual LED flash, red eye reduction, image stabilization and a backside-illuminated sensor, 1.3 megapixel front camera capable of shooting 720p video and support for AT&T’s 4G LTE network.

Compared to most other HTC phones currently on the market, the Titan II’s size definitely stands out, making even the HTC EVO 3D feel small. While many of us have some to enjoy HTC’s uni-body aluminum cases, those who plan on purchasing the 4G LTE enabled Titan I will need to get used to a gray plastic casing. The HTC Titan II’s textured plastic makes the phone feel a little bit lighter than it looks, but it doesn’t exude the quality feeling that most of us expect from HTC handsets.

HTC and AT&T are still mum on a price and launch date for the HTC Titan II, but we have a feeling we won’t actually see the first 4G LTE enabled Windows Phone in stores before the end of Q1 of 2012
